Thank you, Raul, for helping me make this dream a reality. I couldn't have done it without you. I love you.
A Personal Message From Norman
"The last 2 years has been a re-awakening for me on many fronts, one of which was meeting my partner, Raul, and opening up to love again. I sang to him for the very first time in February 2009. It was a profoundly moving experience for me to sing him a song that I wrote, and he had a visceral, emotional response. A conversation ensued during which I realized how much of myself I have withheld from people throughout my life. The genesis for this show began during that conversation, and I made a conscious choice to revive my dreams to perform and begin opening up and connecting with people on a deeper level, and sharing who I really am. That process is still unfolding for me, and my show Becoming Norman is the chronicle of that spiritual journey. I hope you will resonate with the things you see on stage today, and I am honored to have you here and grateful to be able to share this personal work with you."
